2024年創作者曾沿著頭前溪舉辦實驗性環境劇場「頭前溪之夢」,這次的作品以佛教壇城曼陀羅(mandala)的樣貌再現於展場。在劇場中浸泡於頭前溪且象徵集體意識的白布從天而降,自外向內環抱展間,圍繞而形塑出如曼陀羅般的層層結界;劇場的痕跡,其歷程、參與者的書寫筆跡、再現的歷史影像,經數位再創後投影於展場空間;影像由交織工業與流水的聲響生成。聲響移轉時空,立於其中,觀者所在之處即曼陀羅之中心,亦是:歷史文化記憶最初的生之動能,也是人與溪之間的無盡迴旋纏繞。

Taking inspiration from the Buddhist mandala, we re-encounter and explore anew the endless, intertwined fate between people and the Touqian River, which flows through the historic memory of Hsinchu. The projection of the experimental environmental theater shifts through space and time, harmonizing industrial echoes with the murmurs of flowing water.
Descending from above, a white fabric—once immersed in the Touqian River during the theatrical process, symbolizing collective consciousness—encircles from the outside inward, forming the mandala’s layered boundaries. At its center, the observer stands at the very heart of the mandala, at the primal pulse of historical memory, where humanity and the river are forever entwined.
